I was invited by Penang USM last week “Techoprenuership Talk”. It is an honor for me to share my experience & knowledge to the young graduate how they can use Internet Marketing to start an online business from home while still studying.

Practical skills is crucial when you are looking for employment. What this graduate learned about online marketing is purely from the text book. Theory and Practical is a totally different learning experiences.

Text book might look 100% perfect strategy with minimum risk. While when you pratices it on the real world, it might not the case. You will face a lot of challenges and obstacle.

I totally believe our education system should emphasis more on practical training rather from the text book. This will definitely add advantages to the young graduate when they are looking for employment in future.

Since the world economy is under recession, the worst since 1930 great depression. It is not easy to look for employment at this moment. Thus, it is good for the University graduate to learn the internet skills and make some pocket money online.

My next challenge is to share my internet knowledge & experience to other higher education in Malaysia.

Wealth, Success & Love! Which one you choose?

I came across this story related to “Wealth“, “Success” & “Love“. It is full of wisdom and we can learn so much from it. Read the articles and you will understand what i means.

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said “I don’t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat.”

“Is the man of the house home?”, they asked.

“No”, she replied. “He’s out.”

“Then we cannot come in”, they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

“Go tell them I am home and invite them in!”

The woman went out and invited the men in”

“We do not go into a House together,” they replied.

“Why is that?” she asked.

One of the old men explained: “His name is Wealth,” he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, “He is Success, and I am Love.” Then he added, “Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.”

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “How nice!!”, he said. “Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth.. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!”

His wife disagreed. “My dear, why don’t we invite Success?”

Their daughter-in- law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: “Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!”

“Let us heed our daughter-in- law’s advice,” said the husband to his wife.

“Go out and invite Love to be our guest.”

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, “Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.”

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: “I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?”

The old men replied together: “If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would’ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!! !”

-Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy.
-Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it.
-Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength.
-Where there is fear, I wish you love, and courage.

Twitter rejected Facebook offer

Facebook has been a hot acquisition target for years but the massively popular social networking site is now looking to pick up some of its own big name web properties. Apparently, the company tried to acquire Twitter for $500 million worth of stock five weeks ago but senior executives at both companies gave up on the idea at the beginning of Nov 2008.

The sticking point was of course price, with Twitter executives claiming that the $15 billion valuation of Facebook is inflated and taking the all stock offer would have would have actually given the deal a 150 million dollar price tag according to their calculations. Moreover, it seems there was a feeling among Twitter investors that the start-up should keep growing on its own and take a shot at figuring out its own revenue model.

New Year Resolution 2009

This will be the last post for 2008!

Year 2008 is pass,it is time to check your last year resolution and reset another new year resolution. How many resolution have you achieve? and how many is not?

In year 2008, i able to achieve 30% if my goal. I will consider year 2008 is a good start for Asia Internet Marketing Academy. I able break through to new market and explore to other business opportunity.

In the process to achieve goal, you will learn & enjoy so much. Thus, you will become another person with more knowledge & experience. That is why i enjoy goal setting for new year!

However,why most of the goal setting fail? It is because your goal setting do not follow a proper guidelines.

Your Goal setting must be following “SMART” concept.

Google dominate Search Engine Market share!

Once again,Google increase the Search Engine Market Share for 2008!

Google’s share of the US search market rose by 0.4 per cent in November compared with the previous month, new figures have shown.

According to comScore, Google accounted for 63.5 per cent of all search queries made last month, with AOL being the only other search engine in the top five to also increase its market share. Yahoo!, Microsoft and Ask.com, which were in second, third and fourth place respectively, each saw their share of the 12.3 billion core searches made by US web users fall by either 0.1 or 0.2 per cent in November.

Overall, 7.78 billion searches were made on Google, compared with 2.5 billion on Yahoo! sites and 1.01 billion on Microsoft sites, search engine marketing executives may be interested to read.

Meanwhile, recent figures from Attributor showed that Google’s DoubleClick and AdSense programs accounted for the bulk of the ad server market in October, followed by Yahoo! and Revenue Science.

I am so excited to get my learning material from StomperNet about Search Engine Optoimization strategy and at the same time celebrate my wife B’day at Marche the Curve.

They serve all kinds of Western food. One of the operation manager Alex Sim told me that, during Puasa time, the response is so overwhelming. You have to come early or make advance booking. If not, you will be very dissapointed to come all the way and don’t have a seat for you.

One thing that i like Marche is the food they serve is really “Fresh”.
